Inside you’ll be greeted by our Camp Fam: a bundle of lively and energetic campers, all getting out their zoomies so they can go home to their pawrents happy and exhausted. Our Upper West Side location has existed for over a decade and is the heartbeat of our brand. With state-of-the-art amenities and three expansive indoor playrooms, it’s a dream come true for both social butterflies and active pups, and for the wallflowers who would rather lounge while they watch the action.

We like to say that if your pup comes home tired, then we’ve done our job! Your best friend will come home with so many ‘tails’ from their day! They can spend their day playing with friends, cuddling counselors and lounging at our energetic main campus, while you can rest assured that your best friend is being cared for by our loving and qualified staff.
Playing with canine companions is a great way to reduce anxiety, get exercise and build socialization skills. For puppies, day care is a great way to socialize with dogs that are fully vaccinated and have been temperament tested, providing a safe environment to make friends.
What's Dog Daycare Like at Camp Canine's Upper West Side Location?
While at daycare, each dog receives breaks for meals and naps according to their individual needs, and plenty of time to play with their furry friends in our group-play environment. Our Upper West Side location also includes a complimentary mid-day relief walk. Each camper has the option to add-on activities to fill up their day. When here for lodging, each dog gets three relief walks a day, and comfy fleece bedding to curl up with at night. They can sleep in a bunk, or in our free-roam VIP option.
Our Campers are divided into 3 playrooms: the Teeny Lounge (less than 15lbs), the Small Dog Playroom (15-30lbs) and the Big Dog Playroom (30+ lbs).

- Central Bark Walks: These 30 minute walks are one-on-one with a Counselor; they’ll journey through beautiful Central Park together, and our Counselors will make sure to snap beautiful portraits of your pup's park adventure. Central Bark Walk packages available at a discounted price to Members only.
- Cuddle Sesh: Does your Camper like time away from the hustle and bustle of the playroom? Would they love time without distractions or other pups - just themselves, some cozy bedding and a Counselor to cuddle? If that sounds like an activity your camper would enjoy, sign them up for a Cuddle Session!
- Fetch Time: Whether they’re chasing tennis balls, playing tug-o-war or chewing on plushies, your pup can have one-on-one time with a Counselor and a bucket of toys in our Fetch Room!
- Brain Games: Do you have a dog-genius? Does your pup need more mental stimulation to tire them out at night? We have a large collection of engaging puzzles and snuffle mats; if your pup likes using their brain to find tasty treats, then they'll love our Brain Games!
- Camp Craft Time: Your pup will get one-on-one time with a Counselor, and you'll get to take home their beautiful, paw-crafted painting! We offer seasonal crafts during the winter howlidays; and throughout the rest of the year, your Camper can paint a beautiful sunrise over the Manhattan skyline. Sign them up, but make sure to clear some space on your fridge to display their brand new, framed artwork first!
- Bedtime Tuck-Ins: Only available for our lodging guests, Your pup can get a bedtime snack (sponsored by our friends at Rescue Treats) and a bedtime story read to them before we tuck them in for the night!
Carefully Matched Playgroups
Our daycare and lodging guests are separated by size and temperament into three playrooms: our Big Dog Playroom (30lbs+), our Small Dog Playroom (under 30lbs) and our “Teenies” Playroom (under 15lbs+). Whether your dog is wrestling with their friends or lounging on top of our playground to puppy-watch (the equivalent of people-watch), there’s space and stimulation for every kind of camper.

- Wellness checks and continuous monitoring of your pets throughout the day
- An environment free of health hazards such as toxic chemicals and objects that could be swallowed

Vaccination Requirements & Policies
We welcome dogs of all ages and sizes, but there are a few things we do require for the safety of all of our guests.
- Adult dogs must be spayed / neutered
- Dogs must be in generally good health
- A vaccine certificate from your vet is required prior to your pet’s arrival showing current vaccinations against rabies, distemper/parvo and bordatella
Dog Daycare Evaluation
At Camp Canine, we make it a priority to ensure your pet’s safety while they are in our care. We require all guests to complete an evaluation prior to entering our daycare program. This evaluation will determine whether your pet is safe to play with other dogs and members of our staff.
